1 MILLION VIEWS ON YOUTUBE

A MILLI, A MILLI, A MILLI.
Over 1 MILLION total views on Youtube..thanks to you!
Good Morning to all.
The other day I asked for a single word as a means to do a freestyle using your word.  That freestyle was indeed recorded and should be online as soon as I receive the files and what not.
The question I have for you today is:

"What color way do you want the most for T-Shirts?"

Sweaters are still re-upping but I have yet to release a 2nd line of shirts..
I only want to release one color.  The first white T-shirts with the Blue sold fast because there were only 24.  The same exclusivity was apparent with the sweaters...
Your feedback is definitely taken into consideration. You know thisssss.

black / green ?
black / blue ?
white / green ?
These aren't the only options but let me know what T-Shirt you would like to see happen the most....only 1 will be chosen.
Salute!

everyone type me a single word. I'm heading to the studio and for my blogger ppl ima do a freestyle later on.. Also what beat should I use?

November 19th

6 days.
it's going to be great.
Not too many people know this but I'm an on and off assistant costumer at Nickelodeon.
Surely this is information that I didn't have to share and could be considered "telling all of my business" but the fact is...I don't care if you know this or not.
What I DO care to tell about is something I'm very proud of.

On November 19, 2010 the first episode I OFFICIALLY put ALOT of work into airs on Nickelodeon. (on the grand scale of things, I didn't put nearly as much as anyone single person on set because I am merely an assistant)
It's called iStart a Fan War and it's a special episode of the show iCarly.

It was super cool to work on this episode. Everything from meeting new amazing and creative people, driving around to different costume factories with my partner and scoping out all of the supermodels and extravagant cars along the way, and just working with the best cast of my best job ever.

Being able to eat good food everyday and working with Jack Black and having a first hand experience with his comedic genius - unforgettable.
There's 2 background characters in this episode who I specifically hope to see in the episode because we dressed them with the likeness of M. Bison and Balrog from Street Fighter.  Due to potential copyright infringement issues, however, their uniforms were not identical but merely influenced... ^_^

In fact, in this short trailer for this episode that airs November 19th, (notice how I'm advertising the show because I want you to tune in ^_^) if you pause at the :10 mark you can see to the left there's a guy with a military hat on with a red band going across it....that's M. Bison. ^_^!!!
He also wears this amazing grey military captain jacket that I wish I could own.  I took a picture wearing it one day.. lol. I'll post it here, perhaps..

Anyways, I have too many things to do and I could go on and on about crazy things happening in my adventure filled life but I do not wish to bore  you.  Man I need to go get that Kid Cudi album. One day I will meet Kid Cudi.  That was random but yeah.. mark my words! Salute!

ps: I have to release that Young Turbo mixtape I'm sorry! Super busy mannnnn. please do understand.

pss: Just to put this out there - If I show interest in you as a person and you fail to recognize / act upon it after I continuously but not overly show an interest in you, my interest makes a definitive turn to the coldest disinterest possible.  Not that I will treat you badly, that is never the case, but I will avoid your energy overall. damn! that's a quotable. XD

be safe!
they rapin errybody out here!

My bad for forgetting to post. the GOOD news is that I received the call to open for Big Sean on Friday, January 7th at El Rey which is a venue that is larger than the KeyClub. This show will be all ages and tickets are $25 but I got you for $22. I'll keep you posted on more details.. ^_^

Young Turbo tracklisting

This is the tentative tracklist...it could change.
I'm guessing that I may have to put this on separate discs or something.
I don't have time to make this a fancy mixtape nor do I have time to listen to all of the songs and arrange them in a certain order so for the most part, they are in alphabetical order.
Please note that these songs were, for the most part, recorded when I wasn't as skilled as I am now and do not exactly reflect the person that I am today.
Don't be surprised if you hear a different Turbo than what you are familiar with..

coming soon?

Delay

V5 will not be released today. I originally did not plan to be so financially and mentally troubled when I announced that I wanted to release a tape today. Please excuse me for my tardiness.

Last night I was engaged in seriously one of, if not the most, intelligent conversations I've experienced. It was a (discussion)*inside joke* that went on for about 3 hours after a fun filled night at the Drais nightclub in Hollywood.

My friend and networking partner Dork and I listened and spoke with Will.I.Am from the Black Eyed Peas as he dropped some serious knowledge. Information that I can't even type on this blog. Yes, it's that real!

I also met and briefly spoke with one member of the super creative group UNI.
Met this really cool guy named Zig. The very classy young actress named Emy and a retired bboy named Scotty. Some cool guys from Germany and nice women from Switzerland as well as this girl I went to high school with and low key had a crush on. I finally met her which was cool.!

Super shout out to J.B and his entourage who allowed me access into the club with them after security denied me since Im a nobody and not am attractive female. I really appreciate that!!

Met a cool girl named Shay. She was fly imo even though she had just got off work and said sge wasnt really dressed up.
Shout out to Apple from BEP. Cool dude.
Annnnnd thats who i remember right now cuz im super tired.Im probably typing too much but y
eah...time to sleep n get ready for more networking tonight.

Joey Boots x Domestic Workers

I've watched pretty much all of this guys videos.  I have no idea why but yeah....Sooooo disrespectful.  Is there something wrong with me if I find this to be humorous?

Supportive Email. Thank You, PS

Don't take this as a creeper message, but as a fan consistently being touched by your work. But by saying that, I can imagine you being a little on edge. Bear with me and my awkwardness please :)

So I was born in Thailand, raised in Texas and now I've moved to California. Been here for the past year and I've wanted to go to each of your shows but I have no money for an amtrak ticket nor a ride. Anyway, I watched the video you uploaded and I just wanted you to know that you and your music have always moved me.

I'm a violin-playing English major who wishes to write for a living. You write music; you're doing your thing and I'm ecstatic that you're getting out there. Whenever I get discouraged with my writing (or anything, really) I listen to 5minutes3x2 and my words come back. I literally fall silent when I'm down, so the fact that your words shove mine back down my throat means a lot.

I'm fangirl'ing it up in here. Haha. But all-in-all, I wanted to, and have always wanted to for the past few years, say "thanks" for doing your thing. You're helping me do mine.

When I write a book, you'll be mentioned somewhere in there. Ughhhh I feel like such a fangirl creeper. Sorry if I came off that way, haha.

Hope you have a good day!

DON'T LAUGH

For those who don't know, today, the owner of Segway died after falling off a cliff while riding a Segway
The irony here is just crazy and my condolences go to the family.

Donald Glover x Turbo

I happened to be at FatBeats last night and caught the talented comedian/actor/rapper/writer/genius Donald Glover doing an in store performance.  It was a very intimate and chill show and it was very much so a honor to meet both him and his DJ named So Super Sam.
Good times!
I'll upload footage of this event and update this post when I have time.  Till then here is a pic. Thanks Donald and Sam for being so kind.

Mitchy Slick - Wont Stop Being A Blood

Lyrical Comprehension

The other night, the homie Randall hooked me up with dinner at In N Out. I will never forget this especially since I am definitely in a horrrrrible financial situation. Over here dying of hunger n ish. This post isn't about that though. One question that he asked me when we were eating was which one of my songs is the most vicious. He didn't use those exact words but something along the lines of trying to pinpoint a song from my own opinion concerning great lyricism.

I came up with a few but primarily:
GAS
DEMOLITION DOUBLE.

We had a conversation about these and I realized that the way in which I created all of these songs, those similar to these, and parts of the 5 minute tracks is by entering a certain mind state. Sure this may sound dumb or whatever but seriously...to come up with some of this stuff, I essentially go into another zone that takes place internally. Not through drugs..not through writing anything on paper...just pure electricity.

I know that if ever I was sponsored by a well known artist or label or even if I were to straight up become more recognized in the hip hop game, I would make more efforts and actually schedule time to enter this zone, thus allowing for this style of rap. It takes energy.

The conversation led to identifying different things that were great in the lyrics.
Not sure if I ever mentioned examples of lines but some of these continue to be some of my favorite self-made lyrics. Peep a line from each song. The question I have for you, is, what do these lyrics mean to you when you hear them?

Sure, most artist avoid explaining their works of art, sue me.
I truly believe that some artist may paint a crazy picture randomly, accidentally create a sculpture out of some new clay, say a bunch of confusing polysyllabic words that 'sound' cool.....I kind of forgot how I was going to end this sentence but something along the lines of people do easy stuff or stuff on accident and it's only when the critic applauds such a thing that the person doing the stuff gains a new mental value of their stuff that they know they created either randomly, accidentally, or with very primitive talents executed in extra average amateur execution mode and then suddenly all of their future work and even stuff done in the past is looked upon as pure excellence and true professionalism.

This may not even make any sense because I'm finding it pretty difficult to express this idea that I have that could be applied to most, not all, of these critically acclaimed artists whether their fine art field is in painting, music, whatever.

enough of that. basically, here are a few lines taken from, in my opinion, pinnacle points of lyricism in each work of art. Not necessarily the highest of the high point in each song but, rather, a relatively high point assuming that higher elevation requires more energy and wit to compose even though such things are difficult, if not impossible, to measure.

I would like to hear your opinion of the significance of each line.

The fact that I would want to hear your opinion on something that I created could understandably come across as being on the verge of narcissism if you were to ignore the fact that asking your opinion on someone else's lyrics and wanting to engage in a discussion about them would only allow for limited closure, meaning that because no one ever really knows the intent of any given author other than the actual author, all answers could pretty much be assumed correct. We'd go in circles for hours. Some of us may feel like we are wasting time. Almost like english class. Dudes have been deceased for years and yet we are assigned to argue our points of view concerning their essays. I'm not knocking it. What if the author was there to be like - no, you're wrong. Ohhhh nice idea, nope.
That'd be keeping it more REAL. imo.

ok, here are some lines. I am very much aware of the difficulty of trying to explain just the lines mentioned without making since of them with lines said either before or after them.

(from Demolition Double:)

" it makes me feel Blue like Meanie, that's why i go in like Owen on the verse, I'm Birch "

(several bars before and including the following lines in GAS:)

"this should remind you of Chris since it's cold when you play it.
I don't dumb down like Cole cause my goals to make you think till you link me to you favorites."

On a mission.

Some of the bad things that can happen while living alone have occurred in my life seriously within a 3 day period. Here's a list of the bad thing along with an attempt to look on the bright side.

Relationship ended. ++++ new song written. money saving. time to regain focus.
Job terminated. ++++ more time.
phone destructed. ++++ new iphone4 purchased at a very cheap price.
red light pull over. ++++ learned a lesson. never drive in an unfamiliar city with so many things on your mind especially
immediately following the destruction of your only gps device.
Fix it ticket. ++++ when moving to a new area, always update your driver's license.
parking citation obtained. **** learned a lesson. Never park within in 15' of a fire hydrant no matter how far in the boondocks
you believe you are. The police will find you.

identity theft. **** lesson learned. Be careful with online purchases.

car tag expiration on the verge which = HOURS at the DMV which results in a mandatory SMOG check. **** didn't really learn a lesson here other than try to schedule an appointment as opposed to walking up to the DMV like a dummy expecting the line to be shorter than 4 hours.

t-shirt online store continues to automatically charge by the month yet I haven't ordered more product. Supply > Demand.
++++ charge pre-orders.

Surprise $1000.00 fine. ++++ don't get caught slippin? lol.

It is very much so overwhelming but the thing is, and I'm not sure if all of you have noticed this, but, I have been working on endurance and long suffering for some time now. Many of these things could have been avoided if I would have LIED my way out of them, however, I believe in honesty despite the misfortunes that it may bring upon you.
With that being said, I have seriously been more determined now than ever to make something out of nothing.

Networking.
I never liked to talk to people. Honestly, I still don't exactly like talking to random people especially those who appear to be quite haughty, but, so be it. You can never have first hand experience and insight with a person until you actually make the attempt to talk to them. If they respond unfavorably, it's not the end of the world. Simply add them on THE LIST.

i already met this really cool dude with my new outlook on, well, life. His name is Corey and he works at a local boutique. He has already started to help me out by reserving a spot for my "DEMO CD" that I plan to start burning in the very near future. Then I met some promoter kids. I forget their names but they came into the store and it just worked out. They were passing out flyers for some MIA x NERD concert coming up when I introduced myself and started actually TALKING instead of mean mugging the whole world which is what i could very easily do considering how upset I am about my recent losses.

I've investigated a way to start performing regularly. Increased the possibility of doing so, at least.
I've called people. I have some unbelievable contacts who I never call because I never want to exactly be a nuisance and sometimes I'm just flat out nervous to interrupt anything in their super important schedules. I called only one of these contacts and they gave me some good advice.

I have contacted people with less internet (buzz? lame) than myself who actually perform on the regular in attempts to figure out how I can get in on this performance bus. My Ex performed probably every weekend while we were together in her band and that has low key encouraged me to start doing my thing which is why I won't go super grimey on her on a new song that I have. You'll hear it most likely.

About the DEMO.

this is the tracklist:

1. i think i
2. ozone
3. for the win
4. heartbreak double
5. shotgun ( on v5)

this tracklist may appear weak as a mug but the thing is, these are probably my only songs that can be understood by any random person and are rather performable with the exception of 'i think i' which I do not plan to perform anytime soon.

the DEMO DVD.

these videos are included:

1. for the win.
2. holographic double
3. bird's eye view
4. dark wing double
5. gigaton punch

Unlike the complimentary cd that came with the shirts that were purchased, this dvd focuses more on being attractive to a complete stranger so immediately upon insertion you are going to see the revolving red TSST logo as the 'dark wing double' instrumental plays. the background title menu is in all black and the videos are aligned accordingly and colored similarly to my website.
I use to think that my website is weak as a mug but now I'm like......at least I HAVE a website. I'm not going to down my site. I'm not a web designer or anything so yeah..

In these CD and DVD DEMOS I will include 1 of my business cards. I already had these made the other week. The card promotes my Youtube and includes my website address in addition to my email address.

The blank CDs that I'm using are going to be solid white. I don't have the money to get fancy on them.
The cd cases are plastic. Protect the planet.
idk iwhat I'm talking about.

Anyways....I say all of this knowing that someone could very easily take my plan and use it for themselves but by doing so you will not exactly be TRUE to YOURSELF. If you would like to take this idea and run it, be my guest. I refuse to quit hip hop entirely until I can honestly say that I have tried every way possible to be able to make music as a means of supporting myself. That would be the dopest job, as far as I can tell.

Knowing that Lupe and his camp recognize me in person and can talk to me without worrying about me trying to invade their circle.
Knowing that Big Sean is a nice guy in person and even follows me on Twitter.
Knowing that Just Blaze even took the time to give one of my songs a listen.
Knowing that my uncle told me that he ran into someone over there in Boston who knew about me already...
that when I went to Louisiana, people actually knew me on sight and showed love..
that I receive emails from every state and many countries...
that all ages, races, and species have been in tune with what I release.....

knowing all of these things in addition to knowing about those who doubt my artistic ability results in a strong desire to, as cliche as it may sound, go For The Win.

Thank you for your continued support.

I'm working, I've been working.

As I make progress in this operation, I believe that I may attempt to locate boutiques in different states across the U.S. and possibly in other countries though the latter may prove to be very difficult.
I'm doing self promotion here in one part of California. Imagine if I could send you physical copies of this CD x DVD package. Would you be willing to hit up different boutiques and venues ?
I'm not talking HEY WUT UP GOT CD 4 U CHECK IT HOTNESS LOOK...but actually talking to the person...honest conversation.

si se puede.
lol.

LET'S GO

Turbo - For The Win (music video)

it won't upload correctly

I speak of the ForTheWin video that is finished and ready to be put up on Youtube.
This video is unique to me because it is my first video fully arranged in Final Cut Pro.
The problem that I'm having is uploading it to Youtube despite multiple searches for how to do so and despite following a ton of tutorials concerning proper export settings.
On Youtube, the video will upload for a long while, and then, suddenly, oh there has been an error.
This sucks.
My settings are HDVi as opposed to progressive but I'm not sure if this even has anything to do with this nonsense. I've exported different versions of the same video at different sizes and different options selected for frame rates and everything.
Still....nothing.
I just tried to import into iMovie in order to export directly to Youtube but it's saying that it's going to take like 15 hours. This can't be right...

Anyways, here are some pics that you can enjoy in the meantime. ^_^

Marvel vs Capcom 3 gameplay footage

CONGRATULATIONS LAKERS

If you can help to do so, you may want to avoid putting yourself within close proximity of the Staples Center during the end of a championship basketball game, especially when the Lakers end up winning that game.
Police with machine guns.
People running and hanging out of car windows holding up jerseys all the while screaming drunken obscenities.
Cars set ablaze.
Police on horseback.
Police in helicopters.
Police everywhere. No exaggeration.

Video games Live.
Though I arrived a hour late and left probably a hour later, it was quite impressive especially this one girl who played the flute while dressed like Link from Zelda and this one dude who played a medley of Mario Brothers tunes on the piano as well as took request from the audience.
I was only able to take like 2 blurry pics from my iPhone.
oops.
